Vancouver to Brooklyn

Travel day today, but no real hurry. We sleep in a little, get up and pack. We say goodbye to Ron, one of our hosts, and head for the train to get to the train station. It's an easy ride, the system works well.
We panic a little when we can't find the Philippine Airlines check-in (does the airline even exist? Why is it flying from Van to NY? Aaah!). Ok, relax, we find it and all is sweet. We're on our way to NY!
A 5 hour flight including the loss of 5 hours with time zone means we land at 10pm. We train it out to Brooklyn and our place is right next to a couple of stations so it's easy as. Our place is a room on the top floor of a 4 floor walk-up. It's a good set up for us and we can hear the busy streets of Brooklyn below us.
We drop our bags and head for somewhere close by that might still be serving food. It's called Palm Springs Shuffle Board and we rock up around 1am. It's packed with people and 8 lanes of actual cruiseship style shuffle board. Very cool, but no food.
We hang out for a bit and play some table version of shuffle board before wandering home. We hope we'll find something open, even if it's just a dodgy pizza joint.
We don't find anything open so we grab some snacks from a deli. We walk onto our street and remember there is a Halal Paradise food truck right there! Pretty handy at 2:30am. We order some terrible/amazing food and eat it in bed. Dinner of champions.
