Seattle (day 2)

After almost a week of American type breakfasts, we're feeling relatively slug like and head to a Cafe in Capitol Hill, which looks like it serves normal sized and healthy breakfast options. The area we walk through to get there is pretty ritzy looking, apartments blocks line the streets.
Breakfast is exactly what we hoped it would be, pretty similar to the breakfast fare served up in trendy Adelaide cafes. Except with pint sized cappuccinos. Naturally. We wolf it all down and continue our tour of Capitol Hill. It's a nice looking strip of shops and eateries, from what we can tell.
Next we head to the Space Needle. Both of us not being that keen on heights we just admire it from ground level. Considering how iconic it is, you'd think you'd be able to see it from everywhere in the city, but you can't. It's actually a lot shorter than most of the buildings, so you can only see it from certain view points. We figure we'll get a better view of the city elsewhere.
A short distance away is the pop culture museum, which sounds interesting to us. One of the big draw cards of this museum is the Nirvana / Kurt Cobain story and how grunge was born in Seattle. They've got all sorts of the bands stuff in the museum, including what's left of some of the guitars Kurt Cobain smashed in his many stage performances. The guy sure liked to break things. We head upstairs and check out the Sound Lab, where you can play every type of instrument and even head into a recording studio and record the next chart-topper. It's really cool because each instrument comes with an interactive learning tutorial. Most people needed it.
There was also a room dedicated to the Seattle Seahawks and their recent NFL successes.
We check out the sci-fi and horror movie exhibitions and then head back to our air bnb for a snooze. Hey, we've been walking heaps, ok?
An hour or so later we're refreshed and ready to go and see Courts' NHL team play over dinner and a couple of beers. Courts dons her Ducks guernsey and we head to a pub that Google recommends and settle in. A good choice. Sam Adams (a fav Boston beer of Jeff's) on tap and Ducks win, Ducks win.
Jeff has a little surprise location up his sleeve to check out. We take a short walk and arrive at Smith Tower. The lobby of the building is fabulous and has a well dressed doorman (albeit with a few scratches on his face that he acquired from walking into a door, drunk, at 3am a few nights ago). He takes us up to the fancy lift up to the 35th floors and gives us the history of the place. It's basically a 1920s looking place, where people use to come back to with all of their illegal grog and have a big old party. The place is wicked. All Gatsby type themed with a bit of Chinese to it. We have a drink and chill before heading to one last destination before calling it a night.
A bit of an Uber ride later and we hit a casino strip. There are four casinos in total, if you count the one whose lights are blazing but nobodies home (it's closed down). We play enough games of blackjack at each place to get some more chips for our collection, then Uber it back. That's enough seedy for one night!
