Cook Islands - Day 6

We rise and have brekky of eggs and coffee and discuss the day's plans. We're really getting into an island routine. We've got a snorkeling with the turtles activity booked for today but it's become quite windy and overcast. There's much debate about whether it will go ahead and the least strong swimmers of the group (Courts) are already bailing out. In the end it gets cancelled and rescheduled for Friday. That's one problem solved but now what to do for the rest of the day?
While we make plans we smash out a quick workout on the deck.
It's Jack's birthday today and he announces that there will be a party that will commence at 4pm (that's when his birthday massage will finish). But in the meantime, it's time for lunch. We've found a good rated cafe called Beluga, the trendiest we've seen yet. Cal has ants in his pants so he goes for a snorkel (the weather does not look conducive for snorkeling) and the rest of us dig into lunch. We all get different variations of seafood (other than no seafood Ben) and we're all impressed with the food. The coffee is also blow your head off strong, but not sure if it's actually any good.
We drop off Jack for his massage and the rest of us head to the shop to get more supplies for the party, aka booze and a birthday cake. It's back to the house, then most of the gang head for a snorkel bar Courts.
Cal found a good spot on his ventures today and takes us back. Its windy, starting to rain, a bit choppy, but it's definitely the spot. A bit of a swim out to the reef but once we get there, it's clearly the best spot we've been to. We don't stay long because the conditions are bit average and we have to go pick up Jack, but it's bookmarked for a better day.
The gang arrive back home and the party kicks off with Cal challenging Courts to see who can drink a beer faster and we're on. The drinks, games and music flow for the next couple of hours before we head off to dinner. It's only a 20 minute walk but the weather is turning in preparation for the forecasted day of rain tomorrow. We luckily dodge the rain and arrive at Charlie's for dinner. It's pina coladas all round. The food is ok, the entertainment of a middle aged man shuffling to the live band trying to engage other diners to join him in a dance adds an extra star to the review.
We hit the road and miraculously miss the rain again but the wind has picked up. We indulge in a night cap and slice of cake and hit the hay, Ben, Jack and Cat have an early flight to another island tomorrow (maybe).
