Jeff and Courts do Boston

Jeff is up early and pumped for the Sports Analytics Conference. He's got his shoes done up tight and his little notepad at the ready!

The conference goes from 8am to about 6pm and it is one thing after another. They provide some food, but its mostly full of sugar to keep us all going.

Most of the sessions are packed with awesome work and thought provoking material. Jeff's brain is exploding by the end of it.

Meanwhile Courtney has a quiet day in the hotel room and catches up on sleep. Her one major success for the day was battling the elements and dropping off the dirty washing. Legend.

Jeff catches up with the Pernix guys after day 1 to de-brief and catch up better on what's happening back in the real world. He finds it funny to see a couple of them struggling with the cold due to their lack of gloves and beanie. Hehe.

The Pernix guys have been flat out leading up to this conference and are running on hardly any sleep, and like everyone when travelling in the US, have been eating poorly. We head to a burger place for dinner and all have salads. I think that says it all.

We head back to the hotel and have a couple of drinks in the bar. Our accents attract some attention and plenty of the standard questions about Kangaroos from some locals.

Anticipating another full on day tomorrow, Jeff heads up to bed and brings a sleepy Courtney up to speed.
